Supply Chain policy for minerals and metals potentially originating from conflict or high-risk areas (Orano NPS)

At ORANO NPS, we recognize the importance of promoting responsible sourcing practices. In accordance with the guidelines of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and european regulation 2017/821 on the duty of care of importers of gold, tin, tantalum and tungsten. We are committed to implementing measures to ensure that our mineral supply chain complies with the principles of due diligence.

Minerals such as tungsten, tantalum, tin and gold (3TG) from certain conflict or high-risk regions raise major concerns due to their potential role in financing activities that are detrimental to human rights and fundamental freedoms. Moreover, mining in these areas can result in considerable environmental damage and dangerous working conditions for miners.

In line with our values and our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, we are committed to compliance with international standards and transparency in our supply chain.

We are firmly committed to upholding the universal values of human rights, and reject any infringement of fundamental rights.

In this context, our policy aims to:

• Map, prevent and mitigate risks associated with harmful practices throughout the supply chain;

• Implement a traceability and transparency system for our mineral supply chain, particularly for minerals such as tungsten that are likely to come from areas of conflict or political instability;

• Carry out independent audits of our suppliers whenever necessary to ensure compliance with ethical and environmental standards;

• Give preference to French or European sourcing.
