Key Responsibilities: Lead electrical engineering efforts from concept design through installation, testing, and commissioning for high-integrity nuclear infrastructure. Design and review electrical systems including power distribution, motor controls, grounding and lighting. Oversee electrical engineering work performed by the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor, ensuring alignment with project specifications, safety, and quality standards. Ensure engineering work meets all applicable codes and standards, including NEC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, and DOE/NRC requirements. Develop and approve technical documentation — single-line diagrams, panel layouts, cable schedules, load calculations, and specifications. Provide mentorship and oversight to electrical engineering staff and junior engineers. Interface with multidisciplinary teams. Evaluate and approve vendor designs and submittals, ensuring technical accuracy and regulatory compliance. Support safety and reliability assessments, fault current analyses, and testing protocols. Represent Orano in technical reviews, audits, and inspections with regulatory bodies. Participate in project planning, cost estimating, scheduling, and risk mitigation strategies.
