Key Responsibilities

Support Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) activities and assist with maintaining compliance with RAM license conditions.
Conduct safety inspections, risk assessments, and job hazard analyses; recommend corrective and preventive actions.
Oversee proper handling, storage, transport, and disposal of radioactive and hazardous materials in accordance with NRC, DOT, and EPA requirements.
Investigate EHS incidents, near misses, and deviations, document findings and lead root cause analysis.

Within the Nuclear Safety discipline of Orano Limited, you will deliver technically competent documents striving to exceed client requirements, by working with experienced Nuclear Safety Consultants. There may be an opportunity to do secondments with other disciplines that you are interested in too.
Responsibilities
· Delivering consultancy that meets, and exceeds the expectations of the client, regarding technical excellence, the quality of deliverables, timescales and cost in a way that supports the long-term growth of the business and its reputation.
· Being an active contributor for the nuclear safety cases and assessments for high hazard category facilities/plants.
· Production of all major elements of nuclear safety cases, in particular fault analysis and the identification and specification of safety systems.
· Developing and presenting robust and reasoned arguments in a rational and coherent manner.
· Participating in the integrated design process and interfacing with engineers and human factors specialists.
· Writing modifications to nuclear safety cases.
· Being part of the governance process, such as responding to client, peer review and safety committee comments.
· Attendance at meetings with more senior colleagues and interaction with the client.

There may be an opportunity to do secondments with other disciplines that you are interested in too.

As a Graduate Process Engineer at Orano Limited, some of the specialist tasks you could be involved in are:
· Production of design deliverables (e.g. drawings, reports or calculations) to agreed standards of safety, cost, quality and time.
· Involvement in improvement initiatives and projects.
· Assist with process engineering elements of bids.
· Comply with all legislative, regulatory and company policy standards and processes applicable to the role.
Close working relationships with other Orano sites and client sites may be required, which necessitates regular travel to those sites (dependent upon project).
